the sql server service needs to be running under a domain account that has privileges to the network share you are trying to retrieve the backup file from.
when selecting the domain user account in sql server service, you need to make sure that you are selecting domain users from the entire directory. change this by clicking the “location” button inside the “select user or group” dialog box.
