when restoring the database backup you want to choose to leave the database non-operational (so that transaction logs can be restored)
after the database restore is complete
-to restore all transaction logs associated with the restored database choose “from previous backups of database”
-to restore select transaction logs you can choose “from file or type” to choose which ones to restore. you will need to restore each one in sequential order up to and including the one you want to restore. you will need to do this one file at a time.
